🍋 Homemade Lemon Powder
Ingredients
Fresh lemons (as many as you like)
Instructions
Wash the lemons thoroughly.
Scrub them to remove any wax or residue.
Peel the lemons.
Use a peeler or zester to remove only the yellow part of the peel (avoid the white pith—it’s bitter).
Dry the peels.
Option 1: Oven drying
Place peels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at lowest oven setting (about 90°C / 200°F) for 1–2 hours, until completely dry and crisp.
Option 2: Air drying
Spread peels out on a tray in a dry, sunny spot for 2–3 days, turning occasionally.
Option 3: Dehydrator
Set to 95°F / 35°C for 6–8 hours.
Grind into powder.
Once the peels are fully dry, grind them in a spice grinder, blender, or coffee grinder until fine.
Store.
Keep in an airtight jar (like the one in your image).
Store in a cool, dark place—it will last up to a year.
