Crispy Air Fryer Baked Potatoes: Quick Comfort in Every Bite
Fluffy inside, crispy outside – the perfect baked potato made easy with your air fryer.
Ingredients:
2–4 medium russet potatoes (adjust based on your air fryer size)
Olive oil (enough to coat the potatoes)
Salt (to taste)
Optional Toppings:
Butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, or your personal favorites!
Instructions:
Prep the Potatoes:
Scrub potatoes under cold water to remove dirt. Pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel.
Poke & Oil:
Using a fork, poke several holes all around each potato to prevent them from bursting. Rub each one with olive oil until fully coated.
Season:
Generously sprinkle salt over the oiled potatoes, making sure to cover all sides.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 5 minutes.
Air Fry:
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Cook for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through. Done when the outside is crisp and a fork easily pierces the center.
Cool & Fluff:
Let the potatoes rest for a couple of minutes. Then slice them open lengthwise and fluff the insides with a fork.
Top & Serve:
Add your favorite toppings and serve hot.
Pro Tip:
Cooking times may vary slightly based on potato size and your air fryer model. When in doubt, test with a fork for doneness.
Serving Suggestion:
Perfect as a cozy side dish, or bulk it up with toppings to make it a hearty main course.
