π₯© Carnivore Skillet: Ground Beef & Egg Bowl
π³ Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 preferred for flavor and fat)
2 tbsp beef tallow, butter, or ghee
1 tsp salt (to taste)
Β½ tsp black pepper (optional, if tolerated on your version of carnivore)
Β½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
1 egg (or more, if you want extra protein and fat)
Optional toppings: grated cheese, bone broth drizzle, or bacon bits
π₯ Instructions:
Heat the Fat:
In a cast-iron skillet, melt beef tallow or butter over medium heat.
Cook the Ground Beef:
Add ground beef and break it apart with a spatula.
Season with salt, pepper, and (if using) smoked paprika.
Cook for about 6β8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and juicy.
Make a Well for the Egg:
Push the beef to the sides of the pan, creating a small space in the center.
Crack the egg into the well.
Reduce heat to low and cover the skillet for 2β3 minutes, or until the egg white sets and the yolk is still runny.
Combine and Serve:
Spoon the egg and beef together, letting the yolk mix with the meat for extra richness.
Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt if needed.
Optionally, top with cheese or drizzle a little melted butter for added fat.
π§ Tips for Carnivore Optimization:
Use fattier beef (70/30) for higher calories and better texture.
Add a splash of bone broth for moisture instead of water.
If you tolerate dairy, melt in cheddar or cream cheese for a creamy version.
Cook extra and store in the fridge β it reheats beautifully in a pan or microwave.
