⭐ Ingredients (Serves 4)
For the Beef Patties
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 recommended)
1 small onion, finely minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/3 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp mustard (optional)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1–2 tbsp oil for searing
Optional Add-ins
1 tbsp ketchup
Chopped parsley (1–2 tbsp)
A splash of milk for extra tenderness
For the Roasted Potatoes
4 medium potatoes, cubed (skin on or off)
2–3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
🔥 Instructions
1. Prep and Roast the Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Place potato cubes in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and herbs.
Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
Roast for 25–35 minutes, tossing halfway through, until crisp and golden.
2. Make the Beef Patties
In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard (optional), paprika, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently with your hands—avoid overmixing to keep patties tender.
Shape into 4 large or 6 smaller patties.
Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing up while cooking.
3. Cook the Patties
Pan-seared method (recommended):
Heat 1–2 tbsp of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook an additional 3–5 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C).
Optional: Make a Quick Pan Gravy
After removing patties:
Add 1 tbsp butter to the pan.
Stir in 1 tbsp flour and cook 1 minute.
Add 1 cup beef broth + 1 tsp Worcestershire.
Simmer until thickened, season to taste, and serve over patties.
🍽 4. Serve
Plate the juicy beef patties with a generous side of crispy roasted potatoes. Add:
sautéed veggies
a fresh salad
gravy or ketchup on top
