Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pie

🧺 Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (9-inch)
    or

  • Homemade option:

    • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs

    • 6 tablespoons melted butter

    • 2 tablespoons sugar

Chocolate Filling

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Strawberry Layer

  • 2–3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

Optional Toppings

  • Whipped cream

  • Chocolate shavings or drizzle

  • Extra strawberries


🔪 Instructions

1. Make the crust (skip if using store-bought)

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.

  3. Press firmly into a 9-inch pie dish.

  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then cool completely.


2. Make the chocolate filling

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

  2. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips in a bowl.

  3. Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.

  4. Stir in vanilla and salt.


3. Assemble the pie

  1. Pour chocolate filling into the cooled crust.

  2. Arrange strawberries cut-side down over the chocolate, covering the surface completely.

  3. Gently press strawberries into the chocolate.


4. Chill

  • Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, until chocolate is fully set.


5. Serve

  • Top with whipped cream or chocolate drizzle if desired.

  • Slice with a sharp knife (wipe clean between cuts).

  • Extra glossy strawberries: Brush lightly with warmed strawberry jam

  • Dark chocolate version: Use dark chocolate chips

  • Creamy layer: Spread a thin layer of sweetened cream cheese under the chocolate

  • No-bake: Use a store-bought crust and skip baking entirely
