🛒 Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 500 g (1 lb) large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • ½ cup buttermilk (or milk)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Coating

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or panko

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp honey or sugar

  • 1 tsp lime juice (optional)

Garnish

  • Chopped green onions

  • Sesame seeds (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine shrimp, buttermilk, salt, and pepper.
Let marinate 10 minutes.


2️⃣ Prepare the Coating

In another bowl, mix cornstarch, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.


3️⃣ Coat the Shrimp

Remove shrimp from buttermilk.
Dredge each shrimp in the coating, pressing lightly so it sticks.


4️⃣ Air Fry

Preheat air fryer to 200°C / 400°F.
Lightly spray the basket with oil.

Arrange shrimp in a single layer.

  • Cook 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway

  • Spray lightly with oil for extra crispiness

Shrimp should be golden and crispy.


5️⃣ Make the Bang Bang Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice.


6️⃣ Toss & Serve

Gently toss hot shrimp with the sauce or drizzle sauce on top.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
