Mediterranean Ground Chicken Flatbread with Lemon Honey Feta Cream 🍋🐔🫓
A fresh Mediterranean-style dish with spiced ground chicken, warm flatbread, and a creamy lemon-honey feta sauce. It’s savory, slightly tangy, and lightly sweet.
🧾 Ingredients
For the Ground Chicken
500 g (1 lb) ground chicken
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
½ tsp ground coriander
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Lemon Honey Feta Cream
120 g (½ cup) feta cheese
120 ml (½ cup) Greek yogurt
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small garlic clove, minced
Flatbread & Toppings
4 flatbreads or naan
½ cucumber, diced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
¼ red onion, thinly sliced
¼ cup chopped parsley or mint
Optional: olives, arugula, pickled onions
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add ground chicken and break it apart with a spatula.
Stir in paprika, cumin, coriander, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Cook for 6–8 minutes until the chicken is browned and fully cooked.
Add lemon juice and parsley, mix well, and remove from heat.
2. Make the Lemon Honey Feta Cream
In a bowl or blender combine:
feta cheese
Greek yogurt
honey
lemon juice
lemon zest
olive oil
garlic
Blend or whisk until smooth and creamy.
If the sauce is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons water or milk to loosen it.
3. Prepare the Topping Salad
In a bowl combine:
cucumber
cherry tomatoes
red onion
parsley or mint
Add a pinch of salt and a small drizzle of olive oil, then toss.
4. Assemble the Flatbread
Warm the flatbreads in a pan or oven.
Spread a layer of lemon honey feta cream on each flatbread.
Add the cooked ground chicken.
Top with the cucumber-tomato mixture.
Drizzle extra feta cream and garnish with herbs.
