Avocado Veggie Patties

Avocado Veggie Patties 🥑🥕🌿
Soft on the inside and lightly crispy outside, these patties are healthy, filling, and perfect for burgers, wraps, or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • ½ cup grated carrot

  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or oats)

  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro or parsley

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp cumin powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2–3 tbsp oil (for frying)

Optional:

  • ¼ cup sweet corn

  • ¼ cup grated zucchini


Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the mixture

  1. Mash the avocados in a bowl until mostly smooth.

  2. Add carrot, onion, garlic, herbs, and corn (if using).

  3. Mix in breadcrumbs, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and pepper.

2️⃣ Shape the patties

  • Form the mixture into small round patties.

  • If the mixture feels too soft, add a little more breadcrumbs.

3️⃣ Cook

Pan-fry method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden.

Baked option:

  • Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.


Serving Ideas 🍽️

  • In a burger bun with lettuce and tomato

  • Inside a wrap or pita

  • With yogurt dip or garlic sauce


💡 Tip:
Chilling the patties in the fridge for 15–20 minutes before cooking helps them hold together better.
