Crispy Air Fryer Garlic Herb Chicken Breast
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for extra crispiness)
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- If they are very thick, pound them to about ¾-inch thickness for even cooking.
2. Season
In a small bowl, combine:
- Garlic powder
- Minced garlic
- Onion powder
- Smoked paprika
- Italian seasoning
- Dried parsley
- Thyme
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Parmesan (if using)
Rub the chicken with olive oil, then coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
3. Air Fry
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Place the chicken in a single layer in the basket.
- Cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken.
- Cook another 6–10 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
4. Garlic Butter Finish
While the chicken cooks:
- Melt the butter.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Mix in the lemon juice.
Brush the garlic butter over the hot chicken immediately after cooking.
5. Rest and Serve
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.

Tips for Extra Crispy Chicken
- Pat the chicken dry before seasoning.

- If desired, cook an extra 1–2 minutes at 400°F (205°C) at the end for a crispier exterior, while ensuring the internal temperature does not exceed 165°F (74°C).
