Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, chilled
- 3 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 ½ cups frozen blueberries, do not thaw
- 2 additional tablespoons butter, melted
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Slice butter into small pats and add to the dry ingredients. Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture.
- Slowly add the milk and mix until well combined, then gently fold in the blueberries.
- Place the dough on a floured surface, then flatten and fold it in half a few times. Add more flour if dough is too sticky.
- Roll out dough until about 1 inch thick then cut out biscuits.
- Arrange biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and brush with the remaining melted butter.
- Bake biscuits for 15-18 minutes or until golden.
