A delightful fusion of classic cheesesteak flavors with tender tortellini, enveloped in a velvety provolone cheese sauce. Perfect for a quick yet lavish meal.
Ingredients
1 lb thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye or sirloin).
1 package cheese tortellini.
1 onion, sliced.
1 green bell pepper, sliced.
2 tablespoons butter.
2 tablespoons flour.
2 cups milk.
1 cup shredded provolone cheese.
Instructions :
Start by boiling the cheese tortellini as per the package instructions, then drain them and put them on standby.
In a spacious skillet, brown the thin beef slices over medium flame and set them aside once cooked.
Add onion and bell pepper to the same skillet, cooking until they turn tender, which takes about 5-7 minutes, then remove them.
Introduce butter into the skillet, melt it, and mix in the flour, letting it cook for 1-2 minutes to achieve a roux.
Gradually pour in the milk, whisking until it forms a thick sauce over roughly 5 minutes.
Incorporate the shredded provolone cheese, stirring until it forms a smooth, melted sauce.
Combine the tortellini, cooked beef, onions, and bell peppers with the sauce, stirring well and heating everything through.
Serve promptly while hot and savor the flavor
