Carnivore Italian Pizza Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
Burger Patties:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional for relaxed carnivore)
½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
½ tsp onion powder (optional)
¼ tsp black pepper
Toppings:
1 cup shredded mozzarella
6–8 slices pepperoni or salami
½ cup cooked ground Italian sausage (optional)
½ tsp oregano
Optional: a few tablespoons of sugar-free marinara (omit for strict carnivore)
Cheese “Buns” (Optional):
2 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone
1 egg (to bind)
Instructions
Make the Burger Patties:
In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and optional seasonings.
Form into 2–4 patties, depending on desired size.
Cook in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side, until cooked to your liking.
Top Like Pizza:
Once patties are nearly done, top with mozzarella, pepperoni or salami, and a sprinkle of oregano.
Cover skillet or close grill lid to melt the cheese over the patties.
Optional Cheese Buns:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix shredded mozzarella with 1 egg.
Form into rounds on parchment paper and bake 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.
Use these as “buns” or simply eat open-faced.
Assemble or Serve:
Serve each pizza burger open-faced or between cheese chaffles or cheese buns.
Optional: Add a thin layer of warmed sugar-free marinara before the toppings (skip for strict carnivore).
Tips:
For a strict carnivore version: skip herbs and marinara, stick with just meat and cheese.
Want a crispier “pizza” effect? Broil burgers for 1–2 minutes after adding toppings.
These are great for meal prep — just reheat in the oven or air fryer.~~
