🛒 Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
½ cup milk (plus extra for brushing)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup mixed dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, chopped apricots, or sultanas)
👩🍳 Instructions
Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in butter
Rub cold butter into the flour mixture using your fingers until it looks like coarse crumbs.
Add wet ingredients
Stir in milk and vanilla until a soft dough forms.
Gently fold in the dried fruit. Do not overmix.
Shape the scones
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
Pat into a circle about ¾–1 inch thick.
Cut into wedges or use a round cutter.
Prepare air fryer
Preheat air fryer to 350°F (180°C) for 2–3 minutes.
Line basket with parchment paper.
Air fry
Place scones in the basket with space between them.
Brush tops lightly with milk.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, until risen and lightly golden.
Cool & serve
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
