Bacon Cheeseburger Pan Lasagna
Ingredients
Meat & Sauce
1½ pounds ground beef (80/20 recommended)
8 slices bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Cheese Layer
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
1 large egg
Pasta
9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
(or use oven-ready noodles if preferred)
Toppings (Optional but Recommended)
1 cup sliced dill pickles
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or green onions
Extra bacon bits
Instructions
Cook the bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Leave about 1 tablespoon bacon grease in the pan.Cook the beef mixture
Add ground beef and onion to the skillet. Cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease if needed.Add flavorings
Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes. Fold in half of the cooked bacon. Remove from heat.Prepare cheese mixture
In a bowl, mix ricotta (or cottage cheese), egg, and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.Preheat oven
Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.Assemble the lasagna
Spread a thin layer of meat mixture on the bottom.
Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
Spread ⅓ of the cheese mixture.
Add ⅓ of the meat mixture.
Repeat layers twice, ending with meat on top.
Top with cheese and bacon
Sprinkle remaining cheddar, mozzarella, and bacon over the top.Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly browned.Rest and serve
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with pickles and parsley or green onions if desired.
Tips & Variations
Extra cheeseburger flavor: Add ½ cup chopped tomatoes or a drizzle of burger sauce on top before serving
Spicy: Mix in diced jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese
One-pan shortcut: Use oven-ready noodles and add ½ cup milk to the meat mixture
