 Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Pie~
🕒 Total Time:
40 minutes (Prep: 10 mins, Cook: 30 mins)
Servings: 4–6
🛒 Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
6 slices bacon, chopped
4 large eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like: mozzarella, Swiss, gouda, etc.)
1/2 cup heavy cream (optional — for fluffier texture)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Optional: 1 tsp mustard or 1 tbsp cream cheese for flavor variety (still carnivore-friendly for some)
👨‍🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook Bacon:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
Remove bacon and set aside. Leave the fat in the skillet.
3. Brown the Beef:
In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add ground beef and cook until browned.
Season with salt and pepper.
Drain excess fat if needed, but keeping some adds flavor.
4. Mix the Filling:
In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream (if using).
Stir in the shredded cheese and cooked bacon.
5. Assemble:
In a greased pie dish or 8×8 baking dish, spread the cooked ground beef evenly.
Pour the egg/cheese/bacon mixture over the top.
Use a spoon or spatula to lightly mix so it settles into the beef.
6. Bake:
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
🍴 Serving Suggestions:
Eat as-is for pure carnivore.
For a keto variation, top with a dollop of mustard or sugar-free ketchup.
Can also be topped with more cheese and broiled for a few minutes.
🥶 Storage:
Fridge: Keeps 4–5 days in an airtight container.
Freezer: Freeze slices for up to 2 months. Reheat in oven or skillet for best texture.~~
