Ingredients (4 servings)

Onion Rings

  • 2 large yellow or sweet onions

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

  • Ketchup

  • Ranch

  • Honey mustard

  • Spicy mayo


Instructions

  1. Prep the onions

    • Peel onions and slice into ½-inch thick rings

    • Separate rings and set aside

  2. Set up breading station

    • Bowl 1: Flour + salt + spices

    • Bowl 2: Eggs, beaten

    • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs

  3. Coat the rings

    • Dip onion ring in flour (shake off excess)

    • Dip into egg

    • Coat fully in breadcrumbs

    • Place on a plate and repeat

  4. Preheat air fryer

    • Preheat to 400°F (205°C) for 3–5 minutes

  5. Air fry

    • Lightly spray basket with oil

    • Arrange onion rings in a single layer

    • Spray tops lightly with oil

    • Cook 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway

  6. Finish

    • Cook until golden brown and crispy

    • Add 1–2 minutes if needed

  7. Serve immediately

    • Best eaten hot and fresh
