Easy Homemade Crepes

📝 Ingredients (makes about 10–12 crepes)

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 ½ cups (600ml) milk

  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional, for sweet crepes)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for sweet version)


🥣 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the batter

  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.

  • Add flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla.

  • Mix until smooth (no lumps).

  • Stir in melted butter or oil.

  • Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes (this makes softer crepes).

2️⃣ Cook the crepes

  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

  • Lightly grease with butter or oil.

  • Pour about ¼ cup batter into the pan.

  • Tilt the pan in a circular motion to spread it thin.

  • Cook 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.

  • Flip and cook another 30–60 seconds.

  • Repeat with remaining batter.

3️⃣ Serve

  • Stack them on a plate.

  • Roll or fold with your favorite fillings.

  • Nutella or chocolate spread

  • Fresh fruit + whipped cream

  • Jam or honey

  • Cream cheese + berries

  • Savory option: cheese + ham + eggs


💡 Tips for Perfect Crepes

  • Batter should be thin and pourable (like heavy cream). Add a little milk if too thick.

  • Keep heat medium—too hot will burn them.

  • First crepe is usually a “test” one 😉

  • Stack and cover with a towel to keep soft.
