Easy Homemade Crepes
📝 Ingredients (makes about 10–12 crepes)
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 ½ cups (600ml) milk
2 tbsp sugar (optional, for sweet crepes)
2 tbsp melted butter or oil
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for sweet version)
🥣 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the batter
In a large bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
Add flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
Mix until smooth (no lumps).
Stir in melted butter or oil.
Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes (this makes softer crepes).
2️⃣ Cook the crepes
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Lightly grease with butter or oil.
Pour about ¼ cup batter into the pan.
Tilt the pan in a circular motion to spread it thin.
Cook 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
Flip and cook another 30–60 seconds.
Repeat with remaining batter.
3️⃣ Serve
Stack them on a plate.
Roll or fold with your favorite fillings.
🍓 Filling Ideas
Nutella or chocolate spread
Fresh fruit + whipped cream
Jam or honey
Cream cheese + berries
Savory option: cheese + ham + eggs
💡 Tips for Perfect Crepes
Batter should be thin and pourable (like heavy cream). Add a little milk if too thick.
Keep heat medium—too hot will burn them.
First crepe is usually a “test” one 😉
Stack and cover with a towel to keep soft.
