Fresh Fruit Salad

Ingredients

(Serves 4–6)

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1 cup grapes (red or green), halved

  • 1 cup pineapple, diced

  • 1 cup watermelon, cubed

  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced

  • 1 orange or mandarin, segmented

  • 1 banana, sliced (optional – add just before serving)

Optional Dressing (Light & Fresh)

  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice

  • Β½ teaspoon grated lemon or orange zest

  • A few fresh mint leaves, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Wash, peel, and cut all fruit into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Combine: Place all fruit (except banana, if using) into a large bowl.

  3. Make dressing (optional): In a small bowl, whisk honey, citrus juice, zest, and mint.

  4. Toss gently: Pour dressing over fruit and toss lightly to coat.

  5. Add banana last: Gently fold in banana slices just before serving to prevent browning.

  6. Chill or serve immediately.

  • 🌿 Add fresh basil or mint for extra freshness

  • πŸ₯­ Swap in mango, blueberries, apples, or peaches

  • πŸ₯₯ Sprinkle with shredded coconut or chopped nuts for texture

  • 🍯 For extra sweetness, drizzle a little more honey just before serving.
