Garlic Butter Baked Shrimp (Seafood Boil Style)
π₯ Ingredients (Serves 4β6)
For the Shrimp:
2 lbs (900g) large shrimp (peeled & deveined, tails on)
1Β½ tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
Β½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder
Garlic Butter Sauce:
Β½ cup (1 stick / 115g) unsalted butter, melted
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional but recommended)
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Add-ins (Optional but delicious):
2 corn cobs, cut into halves
1 smoked sausage, sliced
Baby potatoes (pre-boiled 10β12 minutes)
πͺ Step 1: Prep the Shrimp
If frozen, thaw shrimp completely.
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels (important for roasting).
Place in a large bowl.
π§ Step 2: Season
Add salt, pepper, paprika, chili flakes, and garlic powder.
Toss well so shrimp are evenly coated.
π§ Step 3: Make Garlic Butter
In a bowl:
Mix melted butter
Add minced garlic
Add lemon juice
Stir in Old Bay & parsley
Pour HALF over the shrimp and toss.
π₯ Step 4: Bake
Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
Place shrimp (and corn/sausage if using) in a large foil tray or baking dish in a single layer.
Pour remaining garlic butter evenly on top.
Bake for 8β10 minutes.
β οΈ Do NOT overcook. Shrimp are done when:
Pink and opaque
Slightly curled (C shape, not tight O shape)
For slight browning:
β‘ Broil for 1β2 minutes at the end.

Sprinkle fresh parsley
Add extra cracked black pepper
Squeeze fresh lemon juice
Serve hot with crusty bread to soak up butter
