Lettuce Wrap Burgers
Juicy, flavorful burger patties wrapped in crisp lettuce instead of buns — low-carb, fresh, and just as satisfying as classic burgers.

1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
For the Wrap
8 large lettuce leaves (romaine, iceberg, or butter lettuce)
4 slices cheddar, Swiss, or American cheese (optional)
Toppings (Choose Your Favorites)
Sliced tomatoes
Red onion slices
Pickles
Avocado slices
Crispy bacon
Sautéed mushrooms
Mustard, ketchup, mayo, or burger sauce
🔪 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce (if using), salt, and pepper.
Mix gently (don’t overwork the meat).
Form into 4 equal patties, slightly wider than your lettuce leaves.
Press a small indent in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.
2️⃣ Cook the Burgers
Stovetop Method:
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side for medium (adjust for desired doneness).
Add cheese during the last minute and cover to melt.
Grill Method:
Preheat grill to medium-high.
Grill patties 4–5 minutes per side.
Add cheese at the end to melt.
Internal temperature guide:
160°F (71°C) for well done (recommended for ground beef).
3️⃣ Prepare the Lettuce Wrap
Wash and thoroughly dry lettuce leaves.
For sturdier wraps, double up the leaves.
4️⃣ Assemble
Place burger patty in the center of lettuce leaves.
Add toppings of choice.
Fold sides inward, then roll like a wrap or hold taco-style.
🍽 Serving Ideas
Serve with sweet potato fries or air-fried potatoes.
Pair with a side salad or coleslaw.
Add a pickle spear on the side.
