One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles
π Ingredients (serves 3β4)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 8 oz (about 225 g) egg noodles
- 2 tbsp butter
- ΒΌ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
π©βπ³ Instructions
1. Season & sear the chicken
- Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large deep pan over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and sear for 4β5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove chicken and set aside (it will finish cooking later).
2. SautΓ© garlic
- In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Cook noodles in the same pan
- Pour in chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil.
- Add egg noodles and stir well.
4. Combine everything
- Place the chicken back into the pan, on top of the noodles.
- Cover and simmer for 10β12 minutes, until:
- Noodles are tender
- Chicken is fully cooked
5. Finish with butter
- Stir in butter until melted and glossy.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese (if using).
- Taste and adjust seasoning.

- Garnish with parsley.
- Serve warm straight from the pan.

- Add veggies like peas, spinach, or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- Use bone-in chicken for more flavor (just cook a bit longer).
- For creamier noodles, stir in a splash of cream at the end.
