One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz (about 225 g) egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ΒΌ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

1. Season & sear the chicken

  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a large deep pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove chicken and set aside (it will finish cooking later).

2. SautΓ© garlic

  • In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Cook noodles in the same pan

  • Pour in chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add egg noodles and stir well.

4. Combine everything

  • Place the chicken back into the pan, on top of the noodles.
  • Cover and simmer for 10–12 minutes, until:
    • Noodles are tender
    • Chicken is fully cooked

5. Finish with butter

  • Stir in butter until melted and glossy.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese (if using).
  • Taste and adjust seasoning.

  • Garnish with parsley.
  • Serve warm straight from the pan.
