❓ Q & A Section
Q1: How do I keep broccoli bright green?
Don’t overcook. Steam just until crisp-tender and finish quickly in sauce.
Q2: Can I make this vegan?
Yes! Simply omit oyster sauce or use a vegan mushroom-based alternative.
Q3: Can I add protein?
Absolutely:
Tofu
Chicken strips
Shrimp
Beef slices
Cook protein first, remove, then add back at the end.
Q4: Why are my mushrooms watery?
Avoid overcrowding the pan. Mushrooms need space to brown instead of steam.
Q5: Can I use frozen broccoli?
Yes, but thaw and pat dry first. Texture may be slightly softer.
Q6: How do I store leftovers?
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Q7: How do I reheat?
Reheat quickly in a skillet over medium heat. Avoid microwaving too long to prevent sogginess.
Q8: Can I make it spicy?
Add:
1 tsp sriracha
½ tsp chili garlic sauce
Extra red pepper flakes.
