Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Form Cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
