2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
2 eggs
2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, American, or any you like)
1 tablespoon butter or oil
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Optional add-ons (totally optional):
Chili flakes or hot sauce
A pinch of garlic powder
Fresh herbs (parsley, chives)
Tomato slices or spinach
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions
Toast the bread
Toast your bread lightly in a toaster or pan until just golden. Set aside.Cook the eggs
Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
Crack in the eggs and cook them how you like:Sunny-side up for runny yolks
Over-easy or scrambled if you prefer
Add cheese
While the eggs are almost done, place a slice of cheese on top.
Cover the pan for 30โ60 seconds so the cheese melts nicely.Assemble
Place the cheesy eggs on top of the toast.Season & enjoy
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any extras you like. Serve warm!
๐ Tips
Want it extra crispy? Butter the bread and toast it in the pan.
Want more protein? Add another egg.
Want it creamy? Add a tiny drizzle of mayo or avocado on the toast.
