Creamy Strawberry Milk Drink (Homemade Strawberry Syrup)

Ingredients

For the Strawberry Syrup

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup water

For the Drink

  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

1. Make the Strawberry Syrup

  • Add strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water to a saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat for 10–15 minutes until strawberries soften and release juice.
  • Mash lightly with a spoon while cooking.

2. Strain the Syrup

  • Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer.
  • Press strawberries gently to extract all the liquid.
  • Let syrup cool completely.

3. Prepare the Strawberry Milk

  • Add 3–4 tablespoons of strawberry syrup to a glass or bottle.
  • Pour in cold milk.
  • Add vanilla extract if using.
  • Stir or shake well until combined.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve chilled with ice.
  • Top with whipped cream for a dessert-style drink.
  • Blend with ice cream for a strawberry milkshake.

Storage

  • Store in a sealed jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
