Creamy Strawberry Milk Drink (Homemade Strawberry Syrup)
Ingredients
For the Strawberry Syrup
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ cup water
For the Drink
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
1. Make the Strawberry Syrup
- Add strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water to a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat for 10–15 minutes until strawberries soften and release juice.
- Mash lightly with a spoon while cooking.
2. Strain the Syrup
- Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer.
- Press strawberries gently to extract all the liquid.
- Let syrup cool completely.
3. Prepare the Strawberry Milk
- Add 3–4 tablespoons of strawberry syrup to a glass or bottle.
- Pour in cold milk.
- Add vanilla extract if using.
- Stir or shake well until combined.
Serving Ideas
- Serve chilled with ice.
- Top with whipped cream for a dessert-style drink.
- Blend with ice cream for a strawberry milkshake.
