📝 Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)

  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    (or 3 fresh garlic cloves, minced – see option below)

  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley or oregano (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional, after cooking)

  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Potatoes

  • Wash and peel potatoes (peeling optional).

  • Cut into thin, even French fry shapes.

2️⃣ Soak (Highly Recommended)

  • Soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  • Drain and pat completely dry with a towel.

3️⃣ Season

  • In a large bowl, toss fries with:

    • Olive oil

    • Garlic powder

    • Salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs

  • Mix until evenly coated.


4️⃣ Air Fry

  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C / 360°F for 3 minutes.

  • Arrange fries in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).

  • Cook for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes.

5️⃣ Extra Crispy Finish

  • Increase temperature to 200°C / 400°F

  • Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.


🧄 Fresh Garlic Option (Restaurant-Style)

  • While fries cook, sauté minced garlic in 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil for 20–30 seconds (do not burn).

  • Toss hot fries in the garlic butter immediately after cooking.


🧀 Optional Toppings

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Extra salt or garlic powder

  • Chili flakes

  • Truffle oil (a few drops)
