Banana Pudding Dessert Cups

Ingredients (Makes 6–8 cups)

For the Pudding Layer

  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz / 96 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Layers

  • 2–3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1½ cups vanilla wafer cookies or shortbread cookies, crushed
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Make the Pudding

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant pudding mix for 2 minutes.
  2. Let stand for 5 minutes until thickened.

2. Prepare the Whipped Cream

  1. In another bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  2. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture.

3. Assemble the Cups

  1. Spoon a layer of pudding into each cup.
  2. Add a layer of crushed cookies.
  3. Add another layer of pudding.
  4. Top with banana slices.
  5. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the top.

4. Chill

  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for the best texture and flavor.

Optional Variations

  • Add caramel sauce between layers.
  • Use crushed graham crackers instead of vanilla wafers.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.

Storage

  • Keep refrigerated for up to 2 days.
  • For the freshest appearance, add banana slices just before serving.
