Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 yellow onion (diced)
- 1 jalapeno (seeded and finely diced)
- 3 tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 green pepper (seeded and diced)
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes (do not drain)
- 1 (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes (do not drain)
- 1 (14.5 oz) can of pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 (14.5 oz) can of red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 2½ cups beef broth
- 1½ tbsp brown sugar
- 1½ tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp chili powder

Add ground beef and onion to a large skillet over medium-high heat and saute for 6-7 minutes until browned. Drain off excess fat and add to a 6-quart slow cooker.

Put remaining ingredients in the slow cooker and stir until well combined.

Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
