Best Crock Pot Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded and finely diced)
  • 3 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 green pepper (seeded and diced)
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1 (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can of pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can of red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  •  cups beef broth
  •  tbsp brown sugar
  •  tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder

Instructions

  • Add ground beef and onion to a large skillet over medium-high heat and saute for 6-7 minutes until browned. Drain off excess fat and add to a 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Put remaining ingredients in the slow cooker and stir until well combined.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
