Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 8 slices bacon

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Bacon

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble or chop into pieces.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  • In the same skillet with bacon fat (or add olive oil/butter if needed), sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden but not fully cooked.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream and softened cream cheese until smooth.

Step 4: Assemble the Casserole

  • Place seared chicken breasts in a baking dish.

  • Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the chicken.

  • Sprinkle crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F/74°C) and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.
