Carnivore Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

Ingredients (4–6 servings)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 works best)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but tasty)

  • ¾ cup sugar-free pizza sauce or heavy cream (see note below)

  • 20–30 slices pepperoni (check for sugar-free if strict carnivore)

  • 2 oz cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper (optional)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional; skip for strict carnivore)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Set oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook the beef

    • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.

    • Season with salt (and pepper if using).

    • Drain excess grease if needed.

  3. Make it creamy (optional step)

    • Lower heat and stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.

    • Add pizza sauce or heavy cream and mix well.

  4. Assemble the casserole

    • Spread beef mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.

    • Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar on top.

    • Layer pepperoni slices across the surface.

  5. Bake

    • Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

  6. Rest & serve

    • Let sit for 5 minutes before slicing.

    • Serve hot.

  • Carnivore-friendly:

    • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • Keto-style:

    • Sugar-free pizza sauce (check label carefully)


Optional Add-Ins (still animal-based)

  • Cooked sausage or bacon bits

  • Extra cheese layers

  • Eggs mixed into the beef for a firmer texture


Storage

  • Refrigerates well for 3–4 days

  • Reheats best in oven or air fryer
