  • Ground beef (80/20 preferred) – 1 lb (450 g)

  • Egg – 1 large

  • Salt – ¾ tsp

  • Optional: beef tallow or bacon grease – 1 tbsp (for skillet)


🧀 Toppings

  • Mozzarella cheese (whole-milk, shredded) – 1½ cups (170 g)

  • Cheddar cheese (optional) – ½ cup (55 g)

  • Pepperoni (all-meat, no fillers) – 20–25 slices

  • Cooked bacon (chopped) – ½ cup (about 6 slices)

  • Italian sausage (cooked, crumbled) – ½ cup (100 g)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat

  • Oven to 400°F / 205°C

  • Heat a 10–12 inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat

  • Lightly grease with 1 tbsp tallow or bacon grease


2️⃣ Make the meat crust

  • In a bowl, mix:

    • 1 lb ground beef

    • 1 egg

    • ¾ tsp salt

  • Press mixture evenly into the hot skillet

  • Cook 5–6 minutes until the bottom browns

  • Carefully drain excess fat if needed


3️⃣ Add cheese layer

  • Reduce heat to low

  • Sprinkle:

    • 1 cup mozzarella directly over the crust

  • Let melt 1–2 minutes (this acts as “sauce”)


4️⃣ Add toppings

  • Evenly distribute:

    • Pepperoni

    • Bacon

    • Sausage

  • Top with:

    • Remaining ½ cup mozzarella

    • ½ cup cheddar


5️⃣ Bake

  • Transfer skillet to oven

  • Bake 10–12 minutes

  • Broil 1–2 minutes until bubbly and golden


6️⃣ Rest & serve

  • Let rest 5 minutes

  • Slice like pizza and serve hot
