Ingredients
For the bake:
1 lb (450g) cheese-filled tortellini (fresh or frozen)
2 cups (500ml) Alfredo sauce (homemade or store-bought)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For the bacon crumble:
6-8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Tortellini:
Cook tortellini according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Mixture:
In a large bowl, mix Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until combined.
Toss the cooked tortellini in the sauce mixture until well coated.
Assemble the Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread the tortellini mixture evenly inside.
Prepare the Bacon Crumble:
In a bowl, mix crumbled bacon, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, Parmesan cheese, and smoked paprika if using.
Bake:
Sprinkle the bacon crumble evenly over the tortellini.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
Serve:
Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
