Ingredients
- 2-3 sleeves saltine crackers
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 (12 oz) bag white chocolate chips
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Arrange saltines in an even layer, covering the whole sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter and then add the brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture starts to bubble.
- Once bubbling, cook for an additional 2 minutes then immediately pour the sauce over the crackers. Use a spatula to evenly distribute the sauce if needed.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes or until sauce is bubbling and darkening in color.
- Remove sheet from oven and immediately sprinkle white chocolate chips on top. Allow chips to melt for about 5 minutes, then use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.
- Working quickly, sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the chocolate before it solidifies.
- Allow candy to fully cool for about 30-60 minutes before breaking into bite-sized pieces.
- Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
