Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Total Time: 20–25 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 preferred for juiciness)
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 3–4 strips)
1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2 tbsp homemade*)
1 egg (optional but helps bind)
Salt & pepper to taste
Burger buns, lettuce, tomato, etc. (optional for serving)
Optional Toppings:
Extra cheddar or American cheese slices
More bacon
Ranch dressing or mayo
Pickles, lettuce, tomato, onions
Instructions:
Preheat Grill or Skillet:
Heat a grill or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.Make the Burger Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine:Ground beef
Shredded cheddar
Crumbled bacon
Ranch seasoning
(Optional) Egg for extra binding
Mix until just combined—don’t overmix.
Form Patties:
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, about ¾-inch thick. Press a slight dent in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.Cook:
Grill or pan-fry the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C) and they’re nicely browned. Add a cheese slice on top for the last minute of cooking, if desired.Assemble & Serve:
Serve on buns with your choice of toppings. For a low-carb version, serve in lettuce wraps or between two slices of that cheese bread you mentioned earlier!
