Ingredients

  • 2 Strip Steaks
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning (season to taste)
  • 24 oz baby potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder (season to taste)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 Chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil on the stove. Boil the baby potatoes just until they are fork tender. Heat the griddle over medium heat and add the potatoes to the griddle with some oil. Use a spatula to smash the potatoes onto the griddle. Add a little bit more oil over the top of the smashed potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Keep flipping the potatoes until they are crispy.
  • Cut the strip steak into cubes. Add the steak to the other side of the griddle and season with some steak seasoning.
  • Once the steak is cooked to your liking turn off the heat on the griddle and add a couple of tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of minced garlic. Stir well.
  • Top the crispy potatoes with a handful of shredded cheddar cheese and the chopped green onions. Enjoy!

Notes

Two decent sized strip steaks are enough to feed my family of four, but I recommend using more steaks if needed to feed your family.
