Dry
2 cups certified gluten-free rolled oats
Β½ cup almond flour (or oat flour)
1 tsp cinnamon
ΒΌ tsp nutmeg (optional)
Β½ tsp baking powder
ΒΌ tsp salt
Wet
β cup maple syrup or honey
ΒΌ cup melted coconut oil or butter
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
ΒΌ cup unsweetened applesauce
Mix-Ins
1 cup finely diced apple (peeled or unpeeled)
Β½ cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
Line an 8Γ8-inch pan with parchment paper.Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Whisk wet ingredients in a separate bowl until smooth.
Combine wet + dry ingredients. Fold in apples and raisins.
Batter will be thick and slightly sticky.Press mixture firmly into the prepared pan (this helps the bars hold together).
Bake for 30β35 minutes, until edges are golden and center is set.
Cool completely in the pan (very important), then slice.
