Lobster Tails with Garlic–Lemon Butter
🧂 Ingredients
For the lobster:
- 2–4 lobster tails
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- ½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
For garlic–lemon butter:
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3–4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- Pinch of salt
🔪 Prep the lobster tails
- Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell lengthwise down the center.
- Gently pull the meat up and rest it on top of the shell (this is called “butterflying”).
- Brush with melted butter and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
🍳 Cooking Methods (Choose One)
🔥 Broiled (Best & easiest)
- Preheat oven broiler on high.
- Place lobster tails on a baking tray.
- Broil for 8–10 minutes (depending on size) until meat is opaque and slightly golden.
🍳 Pan + Oven method
- Sear lobster tails (meat side down) in butter for 2–3 minutes.
- Flip and transfer to oven at 180°C for 5–7 minutes.
🔥 Grilled option
- Grill flesh side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes.
🧄 Make garlic–lemon butter
- In a small pan, melt butter on low heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute (don’t burn).
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, salt, and parsley.
🍽️ Serve
- Drizzle garlic–lemon butter over hot lobster tails.
- Serve extra butter on the side for dipping.

🔥 Tips for Perfect Lobster
- Don’t overcook—meat should be tender, not rubbery
