Ingredients

For the Patties

  • 1½ lbs (700g) ground chicken
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup finely diced red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

For Garnish

  • Fresh parsley
  • Diced red onion
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Lemon wedges

Optional Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Make the Patty Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, feta cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, dill, oregano, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix gently until just combined.

2. Shape the Patties

  • Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions.
  • Shape into round patties about ½ inch thick.

3. Cook

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

4. Prepare the Tzatziki (Optional)

  • Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Chill until ready to serve.

5. Serve

  • Garnish the patties with fresh parsley, diced onion, and tomatoes.
  • Serve with lemon wedges and tzatziki sauce alongside roasted vegetables, salad, rice, or pita bread.
