Mini Apple Fritter Waffle Donuts
Crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside, packed with cinnamon apples and finished with a sweet vanilla glaze!
Serves: 4–6 (makes about 10–12 mini waffle donuts)

🛒 Ingredients
🍏 Apple Filling
1 cup finely diced apples (about 1 medium apple, peeled)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice
🧁 Batter
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
1 egg
¾ cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
🍯 Vanilla Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Apple Filling
In a small skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
Cook 4–5 minutes until apples soften and caramelize slightly.
Remove from heat and let cool.
2️⃣ Make the Batter
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed (do not overmix).
Gently fold in cooled apple mixture.
3️⃣ Cook in Waffle Maker
Preheat mini waffle maker and lightly grease it.
Spoon 2–3 tablespoons batter into each section.
Cook 3–5 minutes until golden brown and slightly crisp.
Remove carefully and cool slightly on a rack.
4️⃣ Make the Glaze
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and pourable.
