Mini Apple Fritter Waffle Donuts
Crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside, packed with cinnamon apples and finished with a sweet vanilla glaze!

π Apple Filling
1 cup finely diced apples (about 1 medium apple, peeled)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
Β½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice
π§ Batter
1Β½ cups all-purpose flour
ΒΌ cup granulated sugar
1Β½ tsp baking powder
Β½ tsp cinnamon
ΒΌ tsp salt
1 egg
ΒΎ cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
π― Vanilla Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1β2 tbsp milk
Β½ tsp vanilla extract

1οΈβ£ Cook the Apple Filling
In a small skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
Cook 4β5 minutes until apples soften and caramelize slightly.
Remove from heat and let cool.
2οΈβ£ Make the Batter
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed (do not overmix).
Gently fold in cooled apple mixture.
3οΈβ£ Cook in Waffle Maker
Preheat mini waffle maker and lightly grease it.
Spoon 2β3 tablespoons batter into each section.
Cook 3β5 minutes until golden brown and slightly crisp.
Remove carefully and cool slightly on a rack.
4οΈβ£ Make the Glaze
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and pourable.
