Why was this called impossible? To me it seemed very basic. Now that I have revised the recipe to updated standards, (i.e. my lazy ways), this is now the Not so Impossible Pie. Let me tell you, it truly is comforting to sit down after a busy day and sink my teeth into this wonderful tasting food.
When you feel so good after eating a delicious plate of food, it should be called comfort food. This dish does just that. As far as being an impossible dish to make, I guess this recipe proves that wrong once again. I do want to thank the person who came up with this recipe way back when.

Can I make this gluten free?
Yes, Bisquick does have a line of gluten free products. You will only need to use the same amounts and follow this recipe. The same as a gluten version.
Can I change out the meat?
You could make this with buffalo chicken, you could mix ground beef and sausage or try it with turkey.
Can I add spice to this?
You could add hot sauce, taco seasoning, jalapeno peppers, or basically anything that you and your family enjoy. Try it with chili powder or cayenne pepper.

1 ½ cups milk
1 ½ cups chopped onion
¾ cup baking mix, such as Bisquick
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
½ Italian Seasoning
3 eggs
1 pound ground beef
How to make Not So Impossible Cheeseburger Pie
FIRST STEP:
Preheat the oven to 400*
Grease a 9 inch deep dish pie plate
FIRST STEP:
In a large skillet, Crumble and cook the ground beef and onion.
Drain all grease when the beef is done cooking
FIRST STEP:
Spread the ground beef mix into the pie plate
Blend the milk, baking mix, eggs, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
Blend until smooth and pour over the hamburger mix
FIRST STEP:
Bake until the biscuit mix is lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
Arrange the tomato slices on top of the biscuits, sprinkle with the cheddar cheese and bake for 5 to 8 more minutes.

Allow to sit for 5 minutes before cutting it.

Tips
The dish can be served alongside a plate of french fries or even tater tots. You could serve it up with a scoop of potato salad.
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup Bisquick mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown and onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in salt and pepper. Spread this mixture in the greased pie pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat the milk, Bisquick, and eggs with a hand beater or whisk until well blended.
- Pour this mixture over the beef mixture in the pie pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
