Potatoes, Polish Sausage and Sauerkraut in the Crockpot

Ingredients

  •             5 to 6 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into chunks
  •             16 ounces Sauerkraut
  •             1 ½ pounds Polish Sausage, sliced in about 1 inch pieces
  •             ½ cup Chicken Broth
  •             1 Bay Leaf
  •             1 tsp Caraway seeds
  •             Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

FIRST STEP:

Put the Sauerkraut at the bottom of the crockpot

Cover the Sauerkraut with the chunks of potatoes

Cover the potatoes with the sliced Polish Sausage

SECOND STEP:

In a bowl combine the caraway seeds, bay leaf and the chicken broth

Pour the broth mixture over the meat, potatoes and kraut in the Crockpot

THIRD STEP:

Season with Salt and pepper if desired

Place the cover on the Crockpot, cook on high for 4 hours

Mix well and serve hot
