🍽️ Servings:

3–4 servings

🧾 Ingredients:

For the cabbage:

  • 1 large green cabbage
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

For the creamy sauce:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Topping:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Optional: chopped red chili or herbs for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Slice the cabbage

Cut the cabbage into thick slices (about 1-inch thick “steaks”).
Try to keep the core intact so slices hold together.

2. Prepare the sauce

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic, lemon juice, and chili flakes until smooth.

3. Season the cabbage

Place cabbage slices on a lined baking tray.
Brush both sides with olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

4. Add sauce

Spread a layer of the creamy sauce over each cabbage slice.

5. Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes.

6. Add cheese & finish

Remove from oven, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Return to oven and bake another 5–10 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.

7. Serve

Garnish with chili flakes or fresh herbs and serve hot.

🍴 Serving Ideas:

  • Serve as a low-carb main or side
  • Pair with grilled chicken or fish
  • Enjoy with a yogurt dip or garlic sauce

💡 Tips:

  • Don’t slice too thin or they’ll fall apart
  • Flip halfway for extra crisp edges (optional)
  • Add Parmesan for a sharper flavor
  • Air fryer option: cook at 180°C for 12–15 mins, then add cheese.
