Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella – optional but recommended)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp black pepper

🔪 Instructions:

1. Cook the Sausage

  • In a pan over medium heat, cook sausage until browned.
  • Break it into small crumbles.
  • Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.

2. Make Filling

  • In a bowl, mix:
    • Cooked sausage
    • Cream cheese
    • Shredded cheese
    • Garlic powder & black pepper
  • Stir until creamy and well combined.

3. Prepare Crescents

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.

4. Fill & Roll

  • Place 1–2 tbsp filling on the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up toward the narrow end.
  • Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

5. Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

🍽️ Serve:

  • Best served warm.
  • Perfect for snacks, breakfast, or parties.

💡 Tips:

  • Add chopped green chilies or jalapeños for spice 🌶️
  • Use turkey sausage for a lighter version
  • You can prep filling ahead and refrigerate.
