Shrimp in Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
Season Shrimp:
Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper.
Cook Shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Sauté Garlic:
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add Cream:
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Add Cheese and Lemon Juice:
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and lemon juice until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Season Sauce:
Add dried thyme and red pepper flakes (if using), and mix well.
Combine and Garnish:
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the cream sauce.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
