INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb bacon, chopped
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 head green cabbage, cored and chopped into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
PREPARATION
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, but leave drippings in pan.
- Add onion to skillet and cook until soft, 6-8 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
- Add chopped cabbage, along with paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook, stirring frequently, until cabbage is tender, 8-10 minutes. Add bacon back to skillet and stir to combine.
- Serve and enjoy!
