Steak Bites with Garlic Butter

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-size cubes

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, for a kick

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Steak
Pat steak dry with paper towels (important for a good sear).
Season generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear the Steak Bites
Heat olive oil in a large skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium-high heat.
Add steak cubes in a single layer — don’t overcrowd the pan.
Sear for 1–2 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium.
Remove steak and set aside on a plate.

  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
Add butter and garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown the garlic).
Add steak bites back to the pan and toss to coat in the garlic butter.

  4. Finish and Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
Serve hot, with toothpicks or over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
