Mediterranean Tapas Table with Baked Feta & Chili Honey
Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
For the Baked Feta & Chili Honey:
8 oz (225 g) block feta cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1–2 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
1–2 tbsp honey
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
Fresh thyme or oregano for garnish
Mediterranean Tapas Ingredients:
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted
1/2 cup marinated artichoke hearts
1 small cucumber, sliced
1 red bell pepper, roasted and sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped
1/2 cup hummus (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup tzatziki (store-bought or homemade)
Pita bread or crostini for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prepare Feta
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the block of feta in a small oven-safe dish. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle chili flakes, and scatter minced garlic on top if using.
2. Bake Feta
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the feta is soft and slightly golden on top.
Drizzle honey over the warm feta and sprinkle fresh thyme or oregano.
3. Prep the Tapas Table
Arrange cherry tomatoes, olives, artichokes, cucumber, bell pepper, and red onion on a large serving platter.
Place hummus, tzatziki, and baked feta in small bowls or dishes.
Garnish everything with fresh parsley or basil.
4. Serve
Serve with warm pita bread, crostini, or crackers. Guests can mix and match dips, veggies, and feta for a vibrant Mediterranean experience.
Tips:
Make it Ahead: Chop veggies and prep dips ahead of time; bake feta just before serving.
Extra Flavor: Add roasted garlic cloves or sprinkle smoked paprika over the feta for a smoky twist.
Spicy Sweet Balance: Adjust chili flakes and honey to control the heat and sweetness.
