Air Fryer Ribs (Tender & Juicy)

Ingredients

For the ribs

  • 1 rack pork ribs (baby back or side ribs)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for smoky flavor)

  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder (optional)

Sauce

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ribs

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs (this helps make them tender).

  2. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

  3. Cut the rack into 2–3 pieces so they fit inside the air fryer.

2. Season the Ribs

  1. Rub the ribs with olive oil.

  2. In a small bowl mix all the dry rub ingredients.

  3. Coat both sides of the ribs generously with the seasoning.

  4. Let them rest for 10–15 minutes for better flavor.

3. Air Fry the Ribs

  1. Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Place ribs in the air fryer basket meat side down.

  3. Cook for 20 minutes.

  4. Flip the ribs and cook another 15 minutes.

4. Add BBQ Glaze

  1. Mix BBQ sauce, honey, and vinegar in a small bowl.

  2. Brush the sauce generously on the ribs.

  3. Air fry again at 200°C (400°F) for 5–7 minutes until sticky and caramelized.

5. Rest & Serve

  1. Remove ribs and let them rest for 5 minutes.

  2. Slice between the bones and serve.

Optional Tips

  • Sprinkle extra BBQ seasoning after cooking for stronger flavor.

  • Serve with coleslaw, fries, or roasted potatoes.

  • If you want extra tender ribs, wrap them in foil and cook 10 minutes longer.
