Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms
🧾 Ingredients:
- 500g mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4–5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tbsp fresh)
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for extra umami)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions:
- Preheat Oven
Set oven to 200°C (400°F) - Prepare Mushrooms
- Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth
- Leave whole if small, or halve if large
- Make Garlic Butter Mix
In a bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, garlic, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, and soy sauce. - Toss Mushrooms
Add mushrooms to the bowl and toss until fully coated. - Roast
- Spread mushrooms on a baking tray in a single layer
- Roast for 20–25 minutes
- Stir halfway through for even cooking
- Finish & Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley
- Serve hot with bread, rice, or grilled meat
💡 Tips:
- Don’t overcrowd the pan—this helps mushrooms roast instead of steam
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for freshness 🍋
- Sprinkle chili flakes if you like a little heat 🌶️
