Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 500g mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4–5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tbsp fresh)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for extra umami)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Set oven to 200°C (400°F)
  2. Prepare Mushrooms
    • Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth
    • Leave whole if small, or halve if large
  3. Make Garlic Butter Mix
    In a bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, garlic, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
  4. Toss Mushrooms
    Add mushrooms to the bowl and toss until fully coated.
  5. Roast
    • Spread mushrooms on a baking tray in a single layer
    • Roast for 20–25 minutes
    • Stir halfway through for even cooking
  6. Finish & Serve
    • Garnish with fresh parsley
    • Serve hot with bread, rice, or grilled meat

💡 Tips:

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—this helps mushrooms roast instead of steam
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for freshness 🍋
  • Sprinkle chili flakes if you like a little heat 🌶️
